This was already ‘predicted’ in the 90s iirc. I remember seeing a documentary where it was discussed

It's done. Almost everything predicted will happen and in this century. There's no hope.

There is unimaginably large economic incentive to keep the status quo and effectively zero to change it. The GHGs already emitted aren’t going anywhere even if the world were net zero tomorrow.

I think it’s time to start being realistic and look at ways to mitigate the damage. That means moving people away from disaster zones, building up food/crop/aid/water reserves, and upgrading infrastructure to be much more resilient. We should abandon the idea that the ship is turning around this century or far more people are going to die.

All climate predictions have proven to be wildly inacurate with actual rates of warming bieng an order of magnitude greater than the ones still bieng taught in universities and used in most "models" There is zero political will to do anything about environmental problems. And disaster capitalism is booming on the backs of everyone effected now. The only cause I am championing is pragmatism, and so I vote with my feet and my wallet, and try and cause less harm

    > All climate predictions have proven to be wildly inaccurate

Climate models are not inaccurate. They have error bars and a range of possible outcomes, but the models presented to the leaders and the public are in like the 10th percentile of severity, because otherwise the scientists are accused of being hysterical and overreacting. None of this is any surprise to climatologists.
